Civic Center Happenings

General InformationBy 2015 year’s end, members of the Gallatin Civic Center’s fitness facility will have around 20,000 square feet of new space at their disposal—the most notable of which involves our splash pad for both children and adults, a heated therapeutic pool and zero-entry pool. The massive expansion marks a milestone for the Civic Center since its doors opened in 1994.

Expansion efforts are already underway. The cardio and weight rooms are receiving a full makeover as I type. You’ll soon see cream-colored walls, foam floors, and new treadmills featuring—drumroll please—TV’s! Yes, you can watch what you’d like while you work out. What better way to fit in your cardio than by chasing down the bad guys as you’re watching Cops?

Okay, so you aren’t in the “running on the treadmill to get fit” mood. You take a peek into the freshly painted cardio room and you agree, it looks great.  But, you want something more. I recommend coming to see one of our personal trainers or trying out a group fitness class! In fact, beginning November 29th we’ll offer a new Buttz and Guttz class on Monday and Wednesday evenings. You might want to hurry though because this class is a limited edition— it will only be offered for 6 weeks!

Also, when you get in the mood to try our new equipment you can come see one of our personal trainers and they’ll teach you all the right techniques.
