Gallatin Leisure Services aims to inspire a strong feeling of community among Gallatin residents—GLS events play a big part in that mission. When neighbors gather for fun and recreation, memories are created and community bonds are strengthened.
With that in mind, GLS hosts or organizes more than 50 events every year—a handful of which have become staples for Gallatin fun. To get in on the excitement, explore our upcoming events and mark your calendar for the reoccurring festivities below.
Biggest Loser. In the spring and fall, spruce up your workout routine. Enroll in Gallatin’s Biggest Loser at the GCC. It’s an 8-week workout challenge where trainers equip participants with custom workouts and meal plans. Participants shed an average of 15 pounds and gain a new appreciation for healthy living. 2016 MINI HOLIDAY Fat-2-FIT Application.
Artifact Show. Join us on February 28th for the pre-historic American artifact show sponsored by the volunteer state archaeological society of Tennesse. Free admission and everyone is welcome.
Shamrock Run. Second Saturday in March join us and the Chamber of Commerce for the annual Shamrock Run. You may register for either the 5K or 10K which will kick off at 7:30am. Click here for your registration packet.

Yoga In The Park. Join us for Yoga at Triple Creek Park Pavilion! May 7th; June 4th; July 2nd; August 6th, & September 24th! It starts at 7:30am and ends at 9:00am. It is free for all full Gallatin Leisure Services members, and $3 for all non-members. (members please bring your id card with you.)
Summer Day Camp. When the kiddies get out of school for the summer, they have a place to go—the Gallatin Civic Center. From 6:45am-6pm, your child will play sports, swim and participate in various activities like talent shows and arts and crafts. May through July, register your child (ages 6-12) for GCC’s Day Camp. 2017 Application.
Recon Run. The first weekend in June, get the family together and participate in Gallatin’s obstacle course adventure run. You’ll run through mud, leap over obstacles and swing across monkey bars. 2016 Application.
Kids Fishing Derby. The first Saturday in June, Gallatin kids (ages 5-16) may participate in a free fishing derby at Lock Four Point.

Rodeo. In mid-July, the rodeo comes to town. Festivities are held at Triple Creek Park’s event pavilion.
Pumpkin Splash. The Sunday before Halloween, your K-5th grader can dive for a pumpkin in GCC’s indoor pool. After retrieving his or her pumpkin, pumpkin decorating and swimming begins! The whole family is welcome to participate. Click here
2016 Turkey Run. The first Saturday in November join us for our Turkey Run! This will be a 5k/10k race which will benefit programs offered throughout the year at our Civic Center. Click here for a race form. We would also love for you to become a sponsor! Interested? Click here!
Christmas Harvest Craft Show. The third Saturday in November, shop and mingle at GCC’s Christmas Harvest Craft Show. It’s a local tradition you don’t want to miss. *New vendors can start submitting their booth applications in August.
Elves Holiday Workshop. Saturday, December 12th join the Civic Center Elves for some fun and make a holiday craft to take home and put on your tree! Kids will also receive a doughnut and hot cocoa right before the Gallatin Christmas Parade. The fun starts at 9:00AM. 2016 Application.
Letter from Santa. Mid-November through mid-December, your child can sign up to receive a personal letter from Santa! Drop by the GCC to let Santa’s elves know you’d like to join in the fun. 2016 Application.
